Booking, payment & cancellations
Confirming a booking
An enquiry does not hold a date. I check and approve availability first. Your date is held only after the quote is accepted, the 50% deposit has cleared and I send your booking confirmation. Quotes are valid for seven calendar days.
Prices
Listed prices are a guide for the inclusions shown. Additional requirements may affect the final price. Your accepted written quote is the final agreed price and will be used for your invoice.
Remaining balance
The remaining 50% is due by the end of the shoot day, by bank transfer or cash.
Rescheduling
With at least 48 hours’ notice, you can reschedule once without a fee, subject to availability, and your deposit carries over to the new date. A further reschedule is treated as a cancellation and a new booking.
Cancellations
With at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit is refunded in full. With less than 48 hours’ notice, or if you don’t attend, the deposit is kept to cover the reserved time and preparation, and never more than the deposit paid. The full wording is in the Terms and Conditions.
Weather and the unexpected
For outdoor sessions, adverse weather or unsafe conditions may mean a reschedule, with an alternative date arranged at no additional booking fee where possible. Emergencies and circumstances outside either party’s control are assessed individually and may lead to a reschedule, credit or refund.
If Mevista Studios needs to cancel
You’ll be offered a reschedule at a mutually suitable time or a refund for payments made for services not provided. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
